New smartphones launched

Today, on what was a seemingly uneventful day
we saw the announcement of six new devices.
Among them are four new entry-level Lumia
handsets, well actually two - Lumia 435 and Lumia
532 , just in both single and dual SIM variants.
They will both offer a 4-inch LCD screen, with a
resolution of 480 x 800px and a Snapdragon 200
SoC, which is outdated at best. On the plus side
the couple only costs €70/€80 and will run WP 8.1
so you can expect modern software and the
support to go with it from the budget devices.
Samsung also made the news with the
announcement of the Samsung Z1. Is is an equally
modest device, but sets itself apart from the crowd
as the first ever Tizen-powered smartphone.
Whether or not the new platform will gain speed is
all up to user reception and Samsung's effort to
draw in app developers and third party support.
For the time being the little smartphone is a unique
and highly experimental breed, but the Korean
giant might just have something big planned if it
delivers on its promise to make Tizen compatible
with Android apps.
Last, but not least we have the Oppo R1C , which
was the first one to make an appearance today.
The smartphone bears mid-lever hardware and is
equipped with a Snaprdagon 615, along with 2GB
of RAM and a 5-inch 720p display. From what we
have seen so far the device definitely looks slick
with a shiny back panel and a beautiful 6.85mm
body.
So if you missed anything from this device-busy
Wednesday be sure to check the table below. Also
give us your thoughts on which smartphone of the
bunch you are most excited about.
